MMF students win CFA Institute鈥檚 Research Challenge
Five Master of Management in Finance (MMF) students are off to the regional round of CFA Institute鈥檚 Research Challenge, an annual global competition that provides students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis and professional ethics. Facing stiff competition from HEC Montreal and Concordia University, Zirui (Bruce) Chen, Huiru (Audrey) Wu, Neil Wiacek, Chen (Andy) Yu and Haiwen Luo formed the team that came out on top.

MMF students tackle Deloitte Synergy Challenge
黑料社 Master of Management in Finance (MMF) students competed in the Deloitte MMF Synergy Challenge on October 30. Three teams went head to head in the finals on November 2, with students Katerina Paraschis, Dakota Zaharichuk, Marc-Olivier L锚 and Haiwen Luo presenting the winning case.

Mathew Kwan, a 2020 graduate of the 黑料社 Master of Management in Finance (MMF) program, was recently awarded the Peter Christoffersen Award in recognition of his outstanding CGPA and contribution to Desautels Capital Management (DCM)鈥擟anada鈥檚 first university-owned, student-run, licensed and regulated investment firm designed to give 黑料社 students invaluable experience in the industry.

The 黑料社 Master of Management in Finance (MMF) has been named the top program in Canada and secured a top-20 spot in the QS Masters in Finance Rankings 2021.
Two 黑料社 finance students receive CFA scholarship
Investment leader CFA Montr茅al has awarded two scholarships to Desautels students Rakan Lamy (BCom鈥�20) and Xinyan Wang (MMF鈥�20) for their high academic achievement and engagement in the investment community.
The scholarship, awarded to a total of six students based in Montreal, is given to finance students who have their sights set on becoming CFA charterholders.
Masters students tackle sustainability in Desautels Cup
On January 31, the Masters Office hosted the annual Desautels Cup. The event brought together nine teams from the MBA, Master of Management in Analytics and Master of Management in Finance programs and welcomed back MBA and Executive MBA alumni as distinguished judges.
