Over his career\, he has cultivated expertise i n experimental design\, data science\, applied AI\, and project management while working in diverse biotech and deep-tech environments. With a stron g foundation in R&D and hands-on experience in venture capital — where he evaluated early-stage technologies and advised founders — Sam now serves a s the Director of RNA Entrepreneurship at Axelys\, actively supporting the development of innovative RNA-based biotech startups emerging from Quebec 's academic research ecosystem.\n\n\n\nOlivia Novac\n\nAs Associate Direct or for Technology Transfer at ºÚÁÏÉç\, Olivia Novac is responsi ble for the assessment and management of the IP generated at ºÚÁÏÉç\, incl uding patent filing\, technology licensing and supporting spinoff companie s. She is also the Canadian representative for the Association of Universi ty Technology Managers (AUTM) as well as a Scientific Officer for CIHR. Be fore joining ºÚÁÏÉç\, Ms. Novac spent six years in the biotechnology indus try\, where she held various positions focusing on intellectual property a nd business development. She holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry: DNA replicatio n from ºÚÁÏÉç.\n\n\n\nJanet Prince\n\nJanet earned her doctorat e in Neuroscience from ºÚÁÏÉç in 2012. Following graduation\, s he spent several years specializing in business development and internatio nal commerce\, with a particular focus on Asian markets. In 2019\, she ret urned to ºÚÁÏÉç\, where she has held various administrative rol es\, working closely with researchers in the Faculty of Medicine and Healt h Sciences. Since 2022\, she has been a key member of the industry liaison team\, dedicated to fostering partnerships between academia and industry.
