His current research is related to t he role of oxidative stress in air pollution health effects and how region al differences in oxidative potential may modify health risks. Dr. Weichen thal also develops exposure models for use in population-based studies.\n \nObjectives:\n\nThis presentation will provide an overview of Dr. Weichen thal’s research related to the oxidative potential of fine particulate air pollution and the risk of lung cancer mortality and emergency room visits for myocardial infarction. Recent examples of his exposure modeling work will also be discussed including a land use regression model for ultrafine particles to support population-based cancer research in Toronto\, Canada .\n\nWebsite: http://scottweichenthal.weebly.com/\n DTSTART:20151002T133000Z DTEND:20151002T143000Z LOCATION:Room 25\, Purvis Hall\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 1A2\, 1020 avenue des Pins Ouest SUMMARY:EBOH Special Seminar URL:/epi-biostat-occh/channels/event/eboh-special-semi nar-255644 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
