ΊΪΑΟΙη

Working toward access for all

β€œStriving toward an accessible campus is a fundamental component of ΊΪΑΟΙη’s commitment to and ongoing work on equity and inclusion"

December 3 marks theΒ International Day of Persons with DisabilitiesΒ (IDPWD). The United Nations first proclaimed the day in 1992, β€œto promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development.”

The theme for this year’s IDPWD is β€œthe future is accessible.” In line with this, ΊΪΑΟΙη has been working to promote greater equity and accessibility for persons with disabilities at the University.

ΊΪΑΟΙη is on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We acknowledge and thank the diverse Indigenous peoples whose presence marks this territory on which peoples of the world now gather.
