I was drawn to the holistic, person-centered approach of family medicine and its impact on long-term health outcomes.

What areas of primary care or research are you most passionate about?

There are many areas I鈥檓 interested in, and while I鈥檓 not sure which I鈥檓 most passionate about yet, I鈥檓 excited to explore and find out.

Do you have any goals for your time here that you hope to achieve?

I hope to strengthen my research skills, learn from mentors and peers, build meaningful collaborations, and start figuring out where I can make the most impact.

What are you most excited (or nervous) about as you begin this new chapter in your graduate studies?

I鈥檓 a mix of nerves and excitement about everything that comes with starting graduate school and taking this next step.

What would you like to do after you graduate/ what are your career goals?

My goal after I graduate is to become a doctor, and hopefully to work in an academic setting, combining research, teaching, and clinical practice to improve community health.

Do you have any Back to School hacks?

Make a weekly schedule, prep meals ahead, and always keep a snack in your bag!

Best of luck Lauryn!
