Haïdar\, MSc\, PhD (c) Public Health\, Université d e Montréal. Presentation: In her doctoral research\, Ola Haïdar examines variations in the experience of primary health care services of persons ac cording to their vulnerabilities or personal characteristics\, the organiz ational characteristics of the services they received\, and also to the ch aracteristics of the places they live in. She proposes that the interactio n between these three elements can change the experience of primary health care services. A vulnerable person has a higher risk of adverse health re sults. Vulnerability can be biological\, health\, material\, social or cul tural. A person can have several vulnerabilities at the same time. This re search aims to evaluate variations in the experience of primary health car e services according to vulnerabilities of persons\, and to assess whether the Quebec health care system is equitable for vulnerable groups. The res ults show that generally\, vulnerabilities have an independent positive in fluence on the experience of primary health care services of persons excep t cultural vulnerability. In Quebec\, immigrants or culturally vulnerable persons are less likely to express a positive appreciation of their experi ence of primary health care services comparatively to native persons. Howe ver\, the addition of a second vulnerability usually positively reinforces the effect of the first vulnerability. The simultaneous presence of healt h vulnerability modifies the negative influence of cultural vulnerability. Immigrants having a chronic disease or an additional health vulnerability are more likely to express a positive evaluation of their experience of p rimary health care services than immigrants who don’t have a chronic disea se.  The results also indicate that Quebec health care system is equitable for vulnerable persons\, while additional efforts can lead to adapt the s ystem and correct the negative influence of cultural vulnerability.
