Current research:
I measure soil & plant nutrient concentrations, plant community composition, and environmental variables in northern peatlands and tundra to help explain rates of decomposition and primary production in these crucial carbon-storing ecosystems. I am particularly interested in the effects of wildfire on nutrient concentrations and plant communities.
