IASL participates in the Manfred Lachs Moot Court (African Regional Rounds)

The �� Institute of Air and Space Law was delighted to participate in the 16th Africa Regional Round of the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition, held on 22 and 23 May 2025 at the CSIR International Convention Centre in Pretoria, South Africa. Dr. Arnold Agaba (Postdoctoral Researcher and Chair the Research Group on African Air and Space Law) served as a judge during the competition, sharing his expertise and helping to inspire the next generation of African space lawyers.

The Faculty of Law mourns the passing of Nahum Gelber, CM, KC, BCL’57, a distinguished alumnus and cherished friend of our community.

Mr. Gelber’s visionary philanthropy made possible the creation of the Nahum Gelber Law Library, inaugurated in 1998. This state-of-the-art facility has since become a cornerstone of legal scholarship at ��, offering students a bright, open, and welcoming space for study and reflection. More than three decades later, the Gelber Library remains a beloved and vital part of campus life.
