 Food Canada\n\nDr. Jean-Sébastien Parent completed his undergrad and earne
 d a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Université de Montréal. He then completed p
 ostdoctoral fellowships at INRA Versailles\, and at Cold Spring Harbor Lab
 oratory. In 2019\, he joined Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) as a 
 Research Scientist at the Ottawa Research and Development Centre and becam
 e an adjunct professor at Carleton University. He now leads a research tea
 m integrating molecular biology\, genetics and epigenetics in projects aim
 ing at supporting the Canadian agricultural sector. In particular\, his re
 search aims at improving plant adaptation and resilience as well as develo
 ping sustainable agricultural practices.\n
