In particular\, I will present my research o n 53BP1-mediated p53 regulation to exemplify how base editing screens incr ease the resolution and output of phenotype-genotype analyses. Also\, I wi ll highlight the current utility and future potential of a versatile preci sion genome editing platform for high throughput functionalization of vari ants of uncertain significance associated with human disorders. Finally\, I will outline the application of base editing screens to drug development \, focusing on the relevance of deep mutagenesis analyses combined with st ructural data to pinpoint exosites of druggable potential.\n\nThis seminar will take place both in-person and online\, Details in attached poster\n DTSTART:20230127T160000Z DTEND:20230127T170000Z LOCATION:Room 1034\, McIntyre Medical Building\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3G 1 Y6\, 3655 promenade Sir William Osler SUMMARY:Physiology Seminar: Precision genome editing to study protein funct ion\, genetic variation and drug development URL:/physiology/channels/event/physiology-seminar-prec ision-genome-editing-study-protein-function-genetic-variation-and-drug-345 145 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
