DESCRIPTION:November 14\, 2012\, is the international GIS Day. For the occa
 sion\, the Geographic Information Centre will be hosting a series of activ
 ities. The GIC is a new centre recently opened as part of the Geography De
 partment at ºÚÁÏÉç to answer geographical information system and remote se
 nsing needs from the ºÚÁÏÉç community. We are located on the fifth floor o
 f Burnside Hall. Come see us or email us at GICsupport [at] mcgill.ca if y
 ou have any questions concerning  GIS and Remote Sensing.  GIS day will be
  divided in four parts: a discovering GIS activity\,  a poster session pre
 senting work in GIS and Remote Sensing from student at ºÚÁÏÉç\, a series o
 f talks including our keynote lecture by George Leblanc of National Resear
 ch Council Canada – Flight Research laboratory\, and a wine and cheese to 
 celebrate the official opening of the centre. These activities will all ta
 ke place between 12:30 and 6:00pm in various location in Burnside Hall. Op
