Overview

Islamic Studies : Historiographical and research issues in the field of Indo-Islamic history; "people of the pen" and "people of the sword" and ruling institutions in Muslim India; madrasah and khanqah and the process of conversion; the British Raj and the challenges of modernity; Pakistan: nation state versus Islamic state - issues and debates.
