 his October. This annual event\, hosted by the Association for the Advance
 ment of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE)\, celebrates higher edu
 cation sustainability achievements while raising awareness of the value of
  sustainability in higher education.\n\nGlobal Conference on Sustainabilit
 y in Higher Education (GCSHE) 2021\n\nΊΪΑΟΙη is once again a host institut
 ion for the Global Conference on Sustainability in Higher Education (GCSHE
 )\, an annual event from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainabi
 lity in Higher Education.\n\nThis three-day event will deliver live intera
 ctive sessions\, inspiring keynote presenters\, and engaging networking op
 portunities for innovative professionals and campus change agents. For a s
 econd year\, the conference will be held virtually with sessions available
  for on-demand replay until December 31\, 2021. This year’s themes\, motiv
 ated by the intensifying climate-related disasters\, a global pandemic\, a
 nd ongoing systemic racism\, is β€œThe future is…” The GCSHE will reflect on
  these struggles and invite participants to recommit themselves to the urg
 ent work of building a future that is sustainable\, equitable\, and resili
 ent.\n\nAs a host institution\, 200 ΊΪΑΟΙη students\, staff or faculty mem
 bers may register to attend virtually for free\, gaining access to the liv
 e interactive sessions\, inspiring keynote presenters\, and engaging netwo
 rking opportunities for innovative professionals and campus change agents.

 Workshop Series\n\nAre you a student looking to learn more about what’s ha
 ppening on the ground at ΊΪΑΟΙη? Throughout October\, join the Office of S
 ustainability and Skills21 in a workshop series teaching you all you need 
 to know about sustainability on our campuses.\n\nAs a bonus\, students who
  participate in at least two workshops through Skills21 can also receive r
 ecognition on their Co-Curricular Record.\n\nSeptember 29\, 2021: Sustaina
 bility at ΊΪΑΟΙη 101\n\nThis workshop offers an overview of sustainability
  at ΊΪΑΟΙη. The session will present how students can participate in the s
 ustainability movement on campus and will introduce sustainability program
 s\, events\, and resources that are available to students.\n\nOctober 6\, 
 2021: ΊΪΑΟΙη's Climate & Sustainability Strategy 2020-2025\n\nThis session
  will dive into ΊΪΑΟΙη’s three long-term targets\, as well short-term goal
 s set to be achieved in the next five years. Participants will also learn 
 about the consultation process that informed the content of the strategy\,
  as well as key monitoring and implementation tools.\n\nOctober 20\, 2021:
  Climate Action at ΊΪΑΟΙη\n\nThis workshop gives an overview of the initia
 tives that ΊΪΑΟΙη is taking to address climate related issues. It will rev
 iew the context for undertaking such actions\, present the ways in which g
 reenhouse gas emissions are being recorded\, highlight the main action are
 as that are being focused on to reduce emissions\, and showcase the differ
 ent ways students can get involved in helping the University achieve its c
 arbon footprint reduction ambition.\n\nOctober 27\, 2021: Leading Sustaina
 ble Projects at ΊΪΑΟΙη\n\nIn this one-hour workshop\, participants will le
 arn basic tools to start their own sustainability initiatives\, with the s
 upport of the Sustainability Projects Fund (SPF).\n\nGet Involved and Win!
 \n\nAll month long\, the Office of Sustainability will have new ways for y
 ou to get involved\, from campus sustainability scavenger hunts to a post-
