Self-reporting (for students attending, in-person, a high school in Ontario, only)

Most applicants (attending school in Canada)听are required to 鈥痵elf-report their grades 鈥痷sing the designated web form accessible through the听.

You will not self-report if:

  • You are completing an Ontario听high school diploma from听outside Canada.
  • You completed high school more than 5 years ago.
  • You have completed only one year of high school in Canada.
  • You are completing (or have completed) one year of high school in Ontario and previously attended high school in Quebec.
  • You have completed or are completing less than a total of ten academic courses in Grade 11 and 12.

How to self-report your grades:

  • The self-reporting form will be open during two self-reporting periods. See the "Self-Reporting Periods" section below to verify the dates the form is available.
    • You can submit self-reported grades only once per period.
  • Use the designated form in your .
    • Log in to your .
    • Select 鈥榁iew your application鈥.
    • Click on 鈥楽elf-Reported Grades鈥 in your Applicant checklist.
  • Enter听your courses
    • When entering your courses, list only the first 5 characters of your Ontario Ministry course code (e.g., ENG4U).
      Important: Do NOT enter AP and/or IB courses as 鈥極ther鈥. Enter听these by selecting the course from the subject pick-list using only the first 5 characters of the Ontario course code.
    • You must report all your Grade 11 level (3U, CU, 3M) and Grade 12 level听(4U, DU,听4M)听courses regardless of the year in which they were completed.
    • Grades will be reported as a completed course grade, an interim grade, or as 鈥檊rade not available鈥 (applicable for the 1stself-reporting period only).
      Important: When entering grades during the first reporting period, enter all the courses听courses you will be completing for the year,听including听all upcoming courses for which you do not yet have a grade.
    • A minimum of ten Grade 11 and 12 courses are required to self-report. This must include a minimum of four (4) Grade 12 4U/DU courses, including a core language course (English or French).
      During the first self-reporting period, this includes Grade 12 courses for which you might not have a grade.
    • Use the most recent grade report听(transcript, report card or Ontario Credit Counselling Summary).
  • At least four of the six required Grade 12 courses, as well as all prerequisite courses, must be taken at the 4U or DU level. Only two courses at the 4M level are permitted.
    • Health and physical education courses at the Grade 12 4M level are not eligible.
    • The only 4M technology courses eligible are TDJ4M, TEJ4M, TGJ4M, THJ4M, TMJJ4M, and TPJ4M.
    • All performing arts courses at the 4M level are eligible for inclusion in the 'Top 6' average.
  • After self-reporting, applicants will be required to upload a copy of the grade report that was used. This document must include student name and print/issue date.
  • Do not send paper transcripts.

Self-reporting periods:

  • The 1st self-reporting period is optional. No admission refusals are made during the 1st self-reporting period.
    • Applicants will not be penalized should they choose to wait for the 2nd self-reporting period.
  • If you do not receive a decision during the 1st听self-reporting period, your application status will be changed to 'Needs more information.'
  • You must then self-report again, entering updated grades during the 2nd self-reporting period.

  • an interim grade (a mid-year/final first semester/second term grade, if your school runs on four terms), or
  • 鈥榞rade not available鈥
2nd self-reporting period (mandatory) April 1 to May 15

All Grade 11 level (3U, CU, 3M) and Grade 12 level (4U, DU, 4M) course grades.

Important: Do NOT enter AP and/or IB courses as 鈥極ther鈥. Enter these by selecting the course from the subject pick-list using only the first 5 characters of the Ontario course code.

Use the most recent grade report听(transcript, report card or Ontario Credit Counselling Summary).

Each result must be reported as either:

  • a completed course grade, or
  • an interim grade (mid second semester/third term).

鈥楪rade not available鈥 cannot be selected for this 2nd self-reporting period.

Verification

  • All self-reported grades will eventually be verified against official grades.
  • In case of a discrepancy between self-reported and official grades, the latter will be taken as the official version.
  • Admission decisions based on self-reported grades may be听subject to change without notice if there are significant discrepancies between self-reported grades and official grades.听Applicants听may be required to provide an explanation of any significant discrepancies.
