Queer History Month

Celebrating and highlighting the history and achievements of 2S/LGBTQIA+ communities at 黑料社 and beyond.

Queer History Month at 黑料社 was first celebrated in October 2018 as LGBTQ2I+ History Month. Founded by Meryem Benslimane, former Equity Education Advisor, it is the first celebration of its kind at a Canadian university.

Through a series of screenings, panels, workshops, and community events, Queer History Month aims to聽raise awareness,听advance education, and聽increase visibility聽of 2S/LGBTQIA+ communities by recognizing their history and contributions, building bridges, and bringing together 黑料社 students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members in Montr茅al and beyond.
