- ºÚÁÏÉç alumni must register for a ºÚÁÏÉç Libraries Borrowing Card in order to borrow items from the Libraries. Your ºÚÁÏÉç alumni usernameÌý(generallyÌýfirstname.lastname [at] mail.mcgill.ca)Ìýand password are required in order to register. If you do not have an alumni username and password,Ìý.
- Cost for alumni: free
- ºÚÁÏÉç Libraries Borrowing Cards are valid in all ºÚÁÏÉçÌýlibraries, subject to the borrowing policies of individual collections.
- A ºÚÁÏÉç Libraries Borrowing Card may only be used by the person to whom it is issued.
- The ºÚÁÏÉç Libraries Borrowing Card is valid for 12 months; the expiration date is calculated from the date of registration.
- Fines or other sanctions are imposed for late returns and cards may be cancelled if misused.
Note: Registering for a ºÚÁÏÉç Libraries Borrowing Card does not provide remote access to the Library’s electronic resources outside of those available to all alumni, nor does it give you access to all library services and resources.
To register for a ºÚÁÏÉç Libraries Borrowing Card:
- Complete the application for theÌý.
- Visit any Information Desk atÌýany libraryÌý±ð³æ³¦±ð±è³ÙÌýthe Rare Books & Special Collections Library or the ºÚÁÏÉçÌýArchives.
- Bring a photo ID & proof of address.
Once your application has been processed, you will be provided with a ºÚÁÏÉç Libraries Borrowing Card that you can use to borrow items.
To renew a ºÚÁÏÉç Libraries Borrowing Card:
The ºÚÁÏÉç Libraries Borrowing Card may be renewed by email, by phone, or in person atÌýany libraryÌýexceptÌýtheÌýRare Books & Special Collections Library or the ºÚÁÏÉç Archives.
