Academic Half-Day Teaching Sessions (AHDT)

Every Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - NOON, all residents attend Faculty led academic half-day teaching sessions. This is protected teaching time during which residents from all different sites are relieved from clinical duties. The curriculum includes clinical orthopaedics and basic science topics.听

Journal Club

We are the听only Canadian University to receive an educational grant from the Orthopaedic Research and Education Fund (OREF). Funding covers monthly journal clubs that are hosted by our staff and rotate on an annual basis.听All specialties are covered.听

Grand Rounds

Grand Rounds are held at the Shriner's Hospital every other Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m.听 The topic of Grand Rounds rotate through the services, including Paediatric Orthopaedics, Spine, Sports Medicine, Trauma, St. Mary's Hospital, Arthroplasty, Tumor, and Foot & Ankle. 听
