Visitor parking
Visitor parking is available on campus space permitting on a daily basis. Permits can be purchased at the Parking Office located in Laird Hall at the rate of $4.50/half day or $8.75/full day. Payment methods are exact cash, debit or credit. Please note that visitors must park in the Horticulture Parking lot once they have purchased their parking permit.听Five visitor parking spaces are available, free of charge, for a duration of 30 minutes outside of Laird Hall. Exceeding 30 minutes may result in a violation.
Please note that this permit is for visitors of the campus who come from time to time, such as technicians, visiting guest lecturers, contractors, etc., and is not intended to be used by students of either campus. The driver of the vehicle must be present at the time of purchase of a daily permit at the Laird Hall parking office, validation may be required.
Bulk Visitor Permits
Bulk daily permits are also available for purchase, please send your request to听parking.servicesmac [at] mcgill.ca听with a minimum 72 business hour notice, including the complete FOAPAL. Permits must be picked up by the requestor or pre-designated person at the Security Office. These permits allow the holder to park in Centennial Center and Horticulture parking lots. Please note that visitor permits are;
- One time use only
- Must be filled in entirely using permanent marker
- Must not have the date changed or altered in anyway
- Must be visible in the vehicle at all times
Permits purchased in bulk must be used between the period of September 1st and May 31st of each year. Permits from the previous period will not be rolled over into the following period. For visitors during the summer period, please have them go to the Parking Services office to obtain a summer visitor permit.
Visitor parking overnight
Staff or student residents living on campus are permitted to have overnight guests park on campus. To do so, a parking permit must be purchased from the Security Office, with the vehicle parking in the dedicated lot assigned at the time of procuring the permit. Overnight permits must be visibly displayed on the dash of the vehicle. Student residents must abide by residence rules for the frequency of which they have overnight guests.听
